Progress at Gewerbestrasse 15 in Thun – April 2025

Work at our construction site in Thun is moving ahead steadily and on schedule. Over the past month, the façade elements have been completely removed, the scaffolding has been installed and fully netted – and we are now in the midst of dismantling the 4th floor.
What does “dismantling” actually involve?
Dismantling is much more than just demolition. It refers to the careful, systematic deconstruction of building components with a focus on sorting materials by type and preserving resources wherever possible.
On the 4th floor, we are currently removing interior walls and load-bearing structures. The goal is to separate reusable materials
and dispose of construction waste in an environmentally responsible and sorted manner. Throughout the process, we prioritize safety, noise control, and dust minimization – both for those working on site and for the surrounding neighborhood.
Why is the scaffold netting so important?
The netting around the scaffolding serves several essential purposes:
It protects pedestrians and workers from falling debris,
helps to contain dust in the immediate area,
and acts as a wind and weather barrier – which is particularly helpful during dismantling work.
We’re pleased with how smoothly the work is progressing and would like to thank everyone involved for their dedication and professionalism.
Together, we’re laying the foundation for a future-ready, modern property in the heart of Thun!
