Progress at Gewerbestrasse 15 in Thun – May 2026

Over the past month, significant progress has been made across the construction site, with numerous key milestones successfully achieved.

The structural works are steadily approaching completion. Concrete works on the 5th and 6th floors have been finalized, the fire wall has been completed, and the masonry works in the second basement level have been largely finished.

At the same time, work has commenced on the plinth details along the City West side, as well as on the excavation for the retention basin and access ramp.

In timber construction, the third phase of Block 1 has been successfully erected. In parallel, work has begun on the attic parapet walls, while the steel structure installation for the third phase of Block 2 is now underway.

The installation of façade membranes has also started, while interior finishing works continue on the lower floors.

Regarding the building envelope, window installation from the 2nd to the 4th floor has been largely completed, and installation works have already commenced on the 1st floor. In addition, the upstands on the 4th floor have been completed, and the temporary roof waterproofing on the 6th floor is now in progress.

Building services installations are also advancing visibly. Electrical, heating, ventilation, plumbing, and cooling works are continuing throughout various areas of the building. This includes the ongoing installation of district heating lines, collector pipework, and the first installations within the model stair cores.

With the commencement of stud wall installations in the model stair cores, the first drywall works have also begun — marking another important step from the structural phase towards the future interior fit-out.
