Progress at Gewerbestrasse 15 in Thun – June 2025

On our construction site, progress is being made step by step, with careful planning and a strong focus on safety, sustainability, and efficiency:

  • Dismantling of the parapet
The parapet was precisely removed to prepare for the next demolition phases. A stable and compliant safety barrier was installed — essential in confined spaces and when working at heights.

  • Concrete façade elements with a re-use concept
Several massive concrete façade elements are being carefully dismantled rather than destroyed, with the goal of reintegrating these components into the new design in line with the principle of re-use. This approach combines functionality with resource conservation and a forward-looking use of building materials.

  • Core drilling as preparation work
Targeted core drillings were carried out at key structural points. This crucial preparation step ensures that the following demolition work can be executed with greater safety and precision. The technique minimizes vibrations and protects surrounding structures.

Each of these steps reflects clean execution, quality-driven work, and a sustainable approach to building within an existing structure.

More updates to come — stay tuned!
